          NAYANNA COLEMAN

           

          Sis. Nayanna Coleman is the daughter of India Young and Nathan Coleman. Nayanna is a recent graduate of the International High School of New Orleans (IHS). Her time at IHS presented her with a wealth of different opportunities. While in high school, Nayanna took IB courses for college credit; became a certified EMT; and was inducted into the Spanish, English and Rho Kappa National Social Studies honor societies.

           

          Sis. Nayanna has always wanted to pursue a career that focused on anatomy, specifically the skeletal system. She will be pursuing her Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Delgado Community College. In the future, Nayanna plans to continue her education and become a radiologist.

          Damon Gibson Jr.


          Bro. Damon Gibson Jr., is the oldest son of Damon Gibson Sr. Damon recently graduated from Frederick Douglass High School at the tope of his class. His high school journey began at Jesuit High School of New Orleans before he transferred to Douglass his junior year. Bro. Damon also played football and baseball at both schools.


          In the fall, Bro. Damon will be continuing his educational journey at Jackson State University where he will study Civil Engineering.

          Brandon J. Larrieu


          Bro. Brandon J. Larrieu is the son of Marchelle and Brandon W. Larrieu. Brandon is a recent graduate of Salem High School in Slidell, La. When asked who are some of his biggest influences, Brandon attributes the honor to his parents and his grandmother, Ms. Lillie Daniels, for the role they've played in shaping him into the well-rounded young man he is today. During high school Brandon played high school


          Bro. Brandon has an interest in technology and enjoys studying how things work. He takes great pride in his ability to fix televisions, phones or any other electronic that may have stumped others. In the fall, Brandon will be continuing his education at the University of New Orleans where he will study Electrical Engineering

          CARL MCKINNIS

           

          Bro. Carl McKinnis was born to parents Carlos Sr. and Peola McKinnis. Carl's education started at Kingsley House with Early Head Start. His Education continued at William J. Fischer Accelerated Academy where he became the school’s first drum major while in the 1st grade. He later went on to play the tenor and snare drums. Carl also attended L.B. Landry-O.P. Walker High School where he continued his love for music playing the snare drum in the Chargin’ Bucs Marching Band. During his senior year, Carl became the captain for the drum section. Carl was a member of the Christian Leadership Academy at The Sixth Baptist Church. Carl enjoys cooking and listening to band music.

           

           Bro. Carl will further his education by attending Delgado Community College for Culinary Arts. He will later attend Talladega College to study business management and to become a member of the Tornado Marching Band.

          CHRIS MCKINNIS

           

          Bro. Chris McKinnis was born to parents of Carlos Sr. and Peola McKinnis. Chris' education began at Kingsley House with Early Head Start. His education continued at William J. Fischer Accelerated Academy where he started playing the trombone in the 4th grade. Chris also attended L.B. Landry-O.P. Walker High School where he continued his love for music playing the trombone in the Chargin’ Bucs Marching Band. While in school, Chris was a member of the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy. Chris was also a member of the Christian Leadership Academy at The Sixth Baptist Church. Chris enjoys playing the video game and making You-Tube videos.

           

          Bro. Chris will further his education by attending Delgado Community College to study Computer Science. He will later attend Langston College to study film making and to become a member of the Marching Pride Band.
